Taking A Breather

This can be a strange time of year. At work, year-end tasks and deliverables abound, usually pulling in lockstep with holiday-related responsibilities at home. At the same time, most of us have at least a few days, if not more, to disconnect from the fray and spend time with our families and/or friends. This combination of Go and Slow can feel a bit like the twilight zone.

Because we know that most of you have a lot of your plates, we’ll keep this missive short and sweet and offer this simple reminder: Within you lies a vast wealth of calm, well-being, and peace. Inherently intelligent, this space is available regardless of what’s happening in the world, regardless of the external demands, regardless of what your uncle or in-laws are saying (or not saying). You can find it anytime, anywhere, surrounded by anyone. Within is where we find the best in ourselves: love, beauty, connection, grace, patience, calm, freshness, and insight. The very antithesis to being overwhelmed or in a rut.

It’s all right there, waiting to serve. So we encourage you to take a pause. To breathe. To make space for the wonder of a new thought to land. You might find the answer you need. Or you might simply enjoy the moment. Either way, it’s already in you, part of the package, peeking around the corners of your awareness, waiting for you to remember your true self: calm, wise, compassionate, loving, balanced.

We hope you had the happiest of holidays and wish you a grand start to 2025.
